Off By Heart Poetry Competition 2019
Off By Heart Poetry Competition-Wednesday 12th June
For homework during the half term holiday (and the week after) we are asking the pupils to learn one poem from the Off By Heart list. The children will be reciting their poems in class on Wednesday 12th June and then the two winning entries from each class will take place in a Grand Final (which will be judged by independent judges) on Friday 21st June. First, second and runners-up prizes will be awarded.
The best way of learning a poem is not to try and do it all at once. Little and often, line by line, is often the best approach.
